Lexington Kennel Club is involved in a multitude of community service projects. Some of our exciting projects include the donation of small animal oxygen masks to Lexington Fire Departments and DEEM. This equipment began saving lives victimized by fire and gas fumes as soon as in service.

Farmers Market

Summer time can be very hard on our beloved pets not only as a result of soaring temperature but also from the heat of the concrete on tender feet. LKC volunteers man a booth at the Lexington Farmer's Market on selected Saturdays in August providing fresh water and treats for our four legged friends. Educational material is available at no charge and includes pamphlets on Responsible Pet Ownership, Proper Care of Pets, Pet Training, and Dog Safety. Coloring books and crayons are given to the kids. The coloring books feature Child Safety with dogs and much more.

I AM A WORKING DOG
My eyes are your eyes,
to watch you and to protect you and yours,
My ears are your ears,
to hear and detect evil minds in the dark,
My nose is your nose,
to scent the invader of your domain,
And so you may live,
My life is also yours.
